Starting at the age of 17, I began working in the Marina District in Downtown San Diego. By the age of 18, I was running my parents’ small family business, It’s a Grind Coffee House, on the corner of First Ave. and G St. For four years I managed my parents’ busy coffee house while attending San Diego State University for mechanical engineering. During the four and a half years I worked at my family’s business, it really gave me a great opportunity to meet the people that make up downtown and really understand what downtown living is all about. Living downtown isn’t just about buying some condo in a good looking high rise, it is about a certain lifestyle that I hope I can help you enjoy.
I currently live in Downtown San Diego’s Marina District and I work for Compass, which was the number 1 independent brokerage by volume in the nation in 2018. As a team, we believe in personal service, professional marketing strategies and community networking to deliver exceptional results!
I am a young business professional who is full of energy, drive, and passion for real estate. I can honestly say, since the day I started in 2011, I wake up every morning excited about what I do and I try my best to have my attitude carry over to everyone I help. With a strong understanding of the downtown community, a tight knit company for support and knowledge, and my perseverance to always stay one step ahead of the curve, I look forward to helping you with any real estate needs you may have.
My passion for Real Estate started through acquiring my first investment property over two years ago. I recently teamed up with Ryan Ponce at Compass. Together we form an unstoppable team. Ryan and I understand that selling and buying homes can be difficult, but we support our clients through understanding their desires, educating them on the market and securing the best property fit.
I am a Towson University Business Management and Baltimore International College Culinary School Professional Cooking graduate, with extensive experience in the restaurant industry. Prior to achieving my California real estate license, I worked as a chef in an upscale Maryland restaurant, as well as catered for musical celebrities’ concert tours traveling across the US. I have also managed a popular downtown San Diego restaurant located in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter. Through both business and culinary school, I have grown to really understand how to listen to the needs of clients. This skill not only saves my clients time, but stress throughout the process.
When I’m not selling real estate, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and I sparingly partake in snowboarding, mountain biking, sporting events, golfing and exploring San Diego restaurants.
At a very early age I was introduced to sales and customer service. Growing up, I helped my grandparents run their convenience store and that was when I learned how to work with people. The daily interaction with different personalities and problem solving that came with running a business intrigued me to pursue my own business. I graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a Minor in Marketing, then went on to work for a Forbes Top 100 Company, doing outside sales.
After purchasing my first home, I realized how much work, diligence and excitement went into the process. I enjoyed my experience so much that I decided to obtain my Real Estate license and pursue home sales as a side business. I wanted to be part of helping others with one of the most important decisions they’ll make in their lives- deciding where they are going to live and invest their money. I quickly found out that in order to be a successful Realtor, I needed to be fully committed and make this my career. I partnered up with Ryan Ponce as a mentor and with his help I have been able to gain the knowledge necessary to help many families reach their goal of owning a home.
As a San Diego native, I’m a huge advocate for this city. I love the lifestyle and of course the weather. My wife and I recently decided to move to Downtown to explore the city life. The convenience, constant action, many restaurants and bars have kept us here. We love to stay busy and explore, so this really fits our style. We have created a new “family walk” tradition, and pick up coffee on Sundays and enjoy a walk along the beautiful Bay.
If you are looking for a realtor that you can trust, that will have your best interest in mind, and serve as your home concierge, give me an opportunity to earn your business.
Born and raised in Bakersfield, California, I moved to San Diego fresh out of high school with a passion for business. I am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at San Diego State University, where I am an active member of the foremost Professional Business Fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi. During my first year of membership, I learned the importance of a unified marketing strategy in order to ensure a successful business transaction. Since then, I have been working with Ryan Ponce as the team’s director of marketing. We understand that the heart of a successful transaction lies within its marketing, and we are thorough in our efforts when presenting a client’s property.
As the team’s Director of Marketing, I am responsible for creating and managing print and online marketing including brochures, postcards, listing books, blogs and social media advertisements. We are actively developing and enhancing our marketing tactics to guarantee that we are providing the most useful and up-to-date services. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, and taking advantage of the exciting San Diego lifestyle.
