2020 Quarter 2 – Downtown San Diego Housing Market

The numbers for Downtown San Diego’s quarter 2 housing market are in and they reflect the negative impact of COVID-19, but they also show some very positive news. If you look at July’s market update, which breaks down the monthly charts, you will see the market is now on fire.

Overall, downtown San Diego’s sales were down -32.5% when compared to Q1 of 2020. The month’s supply of inventory is also up 69.4% given the increase in available listings and the decrease in sales per month. The good news is there are 83 properties currently in escrow going in to quarter 3. That is a +66.0% increase when compared 50 properties going in to April. The real estate market appears to be making a very strong comeback.
